Algarve Helicopters are situated in the Portimao Municipal Aerodrome, the only other licensed airfield in the Algarve other than Faro. The airfield is actually situated in the popular holiday destination of Alvor, just west of the larger town of Portimão. The famous beaches of Praia da Rocha and Praia de Vau are close by as is the nature reserve of Quinta da Rocha.
